I'm currently working on my diploma work in our arts class, and this is the first piece of it.

My topic is heroism. I was assigned to do a series of pieces expressing heroism from my point of view, so I thought, who else to portray heroism better than our very own Gaga?
I wanted to tell the story of how she got from being bullied to this point, where millions of people are worshiping everything she does and everything she is.

This is the first piece of the series that consists of four portraits. This piece portrays the part where Gaga was trying to fight her way to achieve her dreams.

"I was the girl everyone said 'no' to", she said in an interview earlier this year. That sentence was my main inspiration while making this piece.

Originally, the first piece was supposed to be about Gaga in high school when she was being bullied, but I had to leave it out 'cause I ran out of time. I know the series isn't complete without it but there's nothing I can do :\
